Illinois AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)
ADAP provides FDA-approved medications to low-income HIV+ individuals who have little or no insurance coverage. The formulary currently consists of 95 antiretroviral medications. To this date, the program has never had a waiting list to receive these potential life-saving medications.
In addition, the Illinois Continuation of Health Insurance Coverage (CHIC) Program provides assistance for HIV+ persons in Illinois to help maintain a continuity of health insurance or receive medical benefits under a health insurance program.
